Vendor's Description (from Readme files, web site, etc.):

FreeIBComponents is a VCL of Delphi components, intended to be used with Delphi 3 or later, to provide 32-bit Windows applications native data access for InterBase version 4.2 or version 5 databases. These components replace the data-aware components that come with Delphi 3.

Also included in FreeIBComponents is IBASE.PAS, a complete Delphi-compatible port of the InterBase 5.0 API header file (ibase.h).

Full documentation and source code for the components in the VCL is included in the downloadable ZIP file.

FreeIBComponents is intended to be used in production environments! To that end, a demonstrated bug will be fixed as promptly as possible.

This suite of components is for easily accessing InterBase without using third-party products (although I supposed this is a third-party product...). This product was written entirely in Delphi, and has been designed to work with Delphi. I have heard some rumors that these components will work with C++-Builder. I don't have C++-builder, so I can't test this rumor, but it might be worth a shot!
